MonkeyLink has revolutionized electric components for bicycles and e-bikes. Their portfolio includes electric accessories such as lights and mudguards with included lighting that can be attached to bikes with a single click – thanks to the magnetic-mechanical connection modules with electric contact by FIDLOCK.

The eurorad Deutschland GmbH developed these innovative products in close cooperation with qualified partners, including SKS, Comus and FIDLOCK. The final products were two bike component series that allow effortless equipment of the intuitive MonkeyLink standard for bike manufacturers and retail customers. The FIDLOCK concept comes into play regarding the easy attachment of the lights and mudguards. These are magnetically attracted to their counterparts on the bicycles and will automatically and securely lock into place when connected. The user-friendly connection modules with a magnetic-mechanical interface resulted from a custom development project by FIDLOCK for MonkeyLink. They are based on the functionality of our V-BUCKLE with a solid connection geometry, guaranteeing a secure hold of the connection modules during the ride. Therefore, handling hard to reach clamps is a story of the past. Users can attach the e-bike and bicycle accessories in a blink of an eye.

Connect series: Electric accessories for e-MTBs & e-bikes

The MonkeyLink Connect series [🠖] allows manufacturers to equip e-bikes or e-MTBs with lighting components according to the German STVZO in no time. Thanks to internal cabling and a direct connection with the battery, the connection modules with a two-pole electric contact are almost invisible on the e-bike. The mudguards and lights only need to be attached to the counterparts on the e-bike with a quick motion of one hand. They will automatically snap into place, thanks to the FIDLOCK concept, and are powered directly from the battery of the e-bike. If required, users can turn the lights on and off via the bike’s display. The accessories feature a lever for disengagement, triggered with a single hand. Therefore, removing the lights and mudguards is just as easy. The Connect series by MonkeyLink is compatible with the commercially available e-bike drives by BOSCH, Brose, Shimano, and SR Suntour.

Recharge series: Retrofittable components for bicycles

With the Recharge series [🠖], not only e-bikes but almost any bicycle without an electric drive is easily equipable with the MonkeyLink standard ex works. The components with lighting feature a rechargeable battery with a USB connection, which eliminates the need for a power supply or cabling via the bike. Resembling the Connect series for e-bikes, the lights and mudguards can be attached to the connection module (here without an electric junction) on the bike with a single click. Additionally, simply pushing the lever will remove them within a moment. The FIDLOCK concept allows an intuitive connection with a secure hold on the road.
