Article description

The JUNIOR press 5-point loop is one of our newest approaches to facilitating everyday childcare tasks and creating a reliable, quick, easy-to-use fastener for 5-point strap systems. This 5-point loop combines the comfort of intuitive single-handed opening with double-action safety requirements: The buttons of the fastener are pressed together in a pinching motion, the first button releasing the second, which then releases the straps. Therefore, the opening mechanism prevents accidental opening by babies. When being closed, the components of the JUNIOR press double will automatically lock into place. The fastener is used with three straps. However, to create a 5-point attachment, the shoulder/waist straps are looped through the 5-point lock. This version requires a 30 mm webbing width on the shoulder and hip belt.

Field of application

The 5-point loop is, among others, suitable for prams, strollers, children seats on bicycles and cargo bikes. The buckle was developed with following standards in mind:

DIN EN 14344 children’s seats for bicycles

DIN EN 1888 Strollers

ASTM F833_15 Carriages and strollers

ASTM F1625-00 Rear-Mounted Bicycle Child Carriers

Testing after these standards is always specific to the application and must be accordingly done on the ready product before market launch.

Installation

The JUNIOR press double 5-point lock closed loop is attached to products with three 25 mm wide straps. The shoulder/waist straps are looped through the fastener to create the 5-point functionality.

Individualization

The JUNIOR press double 5-point lock closed loop is available with a printed logo or can be customized with a logo insert. Custom colours can also be requested.
